Mon Ami Gabi

In celebration of my amazing mother's birthday, we had dinner at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. In typical Friday night Vegas fashion, the restaurant was packed and the line of people waiting to dine al fresca was growing. Fortunately we had planned ahead and made reservations.

The restaurant is known for its filet mignon so of course we had to try it, along with appetizers of warm olives and pate, and some vegetables for good measure including ratatouille and heirloom tomatoes with basil and olive oil.

For dessert was a wonderful chocolate cake and banana crepe with rum. Food was delicious but what we were most impressed with was the service. There was a snaffoo with one of the orders, and the waitress quickly tried to remedy the situation and gave us complimentary desserts and drinks.

Happy Birthday mom! Viva las Vegas!
