9to9 Grind- No Coffee Left Behind

Either someone is working too much to just leave this coffee behind, or the fountains at work are magical.

Love how perfectly posed the straw was, but I cannot take credit for that.

Saturday

Just Because

Sometimes it's nice to give a gift to someone just because. To Matchmaker- Here's a small gift to help you remember all the places you've been and to guide future dreams of where you may go.

Friday

Chocolate Butter Roti Bun

There are days when things just fall into place- and the dessert you've been searching for magically appears before you. This was one of those days. While discussing the merits of ice cream versus a pastry, we stumbled upon Honey Berry and the smell of warm chocolate baked good welcomed us inside.

We ordered an affogato with coffee ice cream and the signature dessert - chocolate butter roti buns. The buns are freshly made and brought out of the oven every fifteen minutes. The outside was crispy with a flaky soft inside and chocolate gooiness. Happiness fresh out of the oven.

Thursday

He Runs (Fast)

My husband showed just what it means to be an athlete at the SF Road Runner Race. So proud!

Wednesday

Watercourse

After a week of good runs and pushing ourselves in the gym, Husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a budget spa day and headed to Watercourse for a relaxing hot tub session. The place has gotten a bit run down over the years but it's still a great place to go to relax and unwind, and the price is definitely right.

Tuesday

Reading Date

Husband and I took our pile of magazines to La Boulange for a reading date, complete with a large coffee and a cauliflower tart to share. Because sharing is caring. And also we didn't want to spoil our dinner. Wow our parents would be so proud of us.

I politely requested that Husband hold up the coffee so that it could be appropriately scaled. It's not really fair to call this a coffee cup, truly it's more like a coffee bowl. Whatever it is, we like it.

<3 simple dates

Saturday

Taking time to celebrate small professional milestones.

Ramen Dojo

Ramen no longer holds the negative connotation it once did in college. Now, it's practically gourmet and for the right ramen, people will stand in line. Such is true for Ramen Dojo, a very popular ramen house in the Peninsula. Some of the best ramen I have ever had but get ready to wait ... and wait ... and wait.

Love that they needed this disclaimer

Additions of corn and quail eggs.

Additions of grilled seaweed and grilled garlic.

A mark of a truly popular restaurant- when we're out of food, you're out of luck

Friday

Affogato Break

Taking the coffee break to a new level with Affogato from Tin Pot. Vanilla bean ice cream, carmelized orange peels and espresso (hold the whip cream).
